Creating Your Scope and Sequence

This video will walk you through the process of creating your scope and sequence. You will learn how to add a planning block with a start and end date, add a category, and link an EB resource straight from the Portal!

Instructions:

1. Click on the purple "My Planner" button on the top of the Portal.
2. Click on the desired class.
3. Click in any blank calendar space.
4. Type in the title of your unit or activity (ie Romeo + Juliet Novel Unit).
5. Attach the desired category (in this instance, Reading Literature).
6. Choose your desired start and end dates.
7. Type in a keyword from any EB resource in the "EB Resource Search" box.
8. Click on the desired EB resource.
9. Note the skills associated with the resource- this will come in handy when you are aligning to your skills/standards! See the "Aligning Scope and Sequence with Standards- Skill Analysis" video. Click on each skill band for more specific skill/standard information.
10. Click on the arrow if you want to go to the resource itself (you can also click on the arrow within your Scope and Sequence).
11. Click "Save."
