Creating Classes in the Portal
This tutorial guides you through the process of creating a class in the digital planner. Classes must be created first before any planning can be done. Learn how to add class details, set start and end dates, and customize settings, including selecting applicable standards. See how organizing planner categories can align with the course focus for a streamlined setup. Follow along to get classes ready efficiently and effectively!
Instructions:
- Click on "Classes" at the top of the Portal.
- In the top right corner, click the purple "Add Class" button.
- Choose the correct period, grade level, and give it a title (you can always edit the name anytime after you save the class).
- Choose your first day and last day.
- Choose the class color.
- Check or uncheck the Applicable Skills for your course.
- Reorder any Planner Category by dragging each category on the two lines to the right-hand side.
- Add a new Planner Category you desire, such as School Calendar Days (school events, days off, holidays, snow days, assemblies, standardized testing, floating days, etc).
- Click the purple "Save" button, and voila! It's planning time!
